THE MYSTERIES OF HUMAN LIFE
Have you ever wondered why you are living in this world? And what is the purpose of your life?
Many at times you may think that God has forsaking you because of what you are passing through, but I have a good news for you. God desires to express Himself through man (“29 God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him.” Romans 8:29 MSGB).
He created man in His own image (Gen 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, b and over all the creatures that move along the ground." NIV).
Just as a glove is made in the image of a hand to contain a hand, so also man is made in the Image of God to contain God. By receiving God as his content man can express God (“If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That's to prevent anyone from confusing God's incomparable power with us.-2 Corinthians 4:7 msgb)
God made man as a vessel (Romans 9:21-24) this vessel has 3 parts: Body, Soul and Spirit ( 1 Thess 5:23) 23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. NIV)
BODY: contacts and receives the things of the physical realm.
SOUL: the mental faculty contacts and receives the things of the psychological realm.
SPIRIT: the inner most part of man, made to contact and receive God Himself (John 4:24, Eph 5:18).
But before man could receive God as life into his spirit, sin entered into him (Rom. 5:12) Sin deadened his spirit (Eph 2:1) and made him an enemy of God in his mind (Col. 1:21) and transmitted his body into sinful flesh (Gen 6:3, Rom. 6:12).
Thus sin damaged all the 3 parts of man making him an alien to his God. In this condition, man could not receive God. Nevertheless, man’s fall did not stop God from fulfilling His original plan. To accomplish His plan, He became a man called Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14). The Christ died on the cross to redeem man (Eph. 1:17) thus taking away his sin (Jn 1:29) and bringing him back to God (Eph. 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. NIV)
In resurrection, He became the Life giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45b) so that He could dispense His unsearchable rich life into man’s spirit (Jn 20:22, 3:6).
John 20:22-23 And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven." NIV
REGENERATION: is when man received God’s life into his spirit (1 Pet 1:3, Jn 3:3) 3 In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.NIV and to receive this life, man needs to repent to God and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21; 16:31)
TRANSFORMATION: The process of gradual spreading Himself as life from the believer’s spirit into his soul (Eph. 3:17) and requires human cooperation (Phil 2:12). 12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed — not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence — continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, NIV
GLORIFICATION: is at Christ return, God will fully saturate the believer’s body with His life (Phil 3:21)
FELLOWSHIP: a believer needs to attend Christian meetings in order to be nourished and supplied by the life of God that he may grow and mature in this life.
So, I think you see that God I His infinite mercy has purpose and plan for your life. It’s now depends on your cooperation by surrendering to Him.
