THE MANIFESTED PRESENCE”

Text: John 14:19–24

After a little while, the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

“He who has my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him”.

Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”

Jesus answered and said to him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my words; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not keep my teachings. And the word that you are hearing is not mine, but the Father’s who sent me.”

John 14:19-24

-+Jesus Christ is giving His followers a valedictory speech of consolation. Just like when an old father foreseen his demise, calls his children to tell them about the future.

*The World Cannot See Him

(v.19). One of the disciples asked Him why He could not shew Himself to the World. The world did not knew Him. He only shew Himself to those who are ready to know Him- the believers.

*Obedience invites Manifestation

-(v.21). It is obedience that brought relationship before manifestation. Jesus Christ was telling His followers the outmat of obedience- loved by the Father and also by Himself. If you love someone, there is the tendency of the cordiality.

*Divine Fellowship

-(v.23). What brings about fellowship? It is a cordial relationship between two people, either between one person under a higher authority. So divine fellowship is having a communion with a divine power...intimacy is key.

--Two people may sit in the same room, but intimacy belongs to those who communicate.

Obedience opens deeper fellowship.

God reveals Himself to those who love Him deeply.

Do you love God?

Do you have fellowship with Him in prayers and praises?

That's what today's message is all about. That we need to love Him by obeying His commandment so that He can make a home with us.
