ATTEND TO GOD'S WORD

ATTEND TO GOD'S WORD

Text: Proverbs 4:20–22
My son, pay attention to my words.
Turn your ear to what I say.
Do not let them depart from your eyes.
Keep them in the center of your heart.
For they are life to those
who find them,
and health to their whole body.

Theme: The Healing Power of God's Word

Introduction.
Life is full of voices demanding our attention—fear, sickness, disappointment, anxiety, and the opinions of people. Yet God calls His children to give first attention to His Word. Solomon, writing under divine inspiration, presents God's Word as medicine for the whole person.

1. Attend to My Words:
God commands us to pay careful attention to His Word. Healing begins when God's voice becomes louder than the voice of fear or disease.
Text: Joshua 1:8; Romans 10:17.

2. Keep God's Word Before Your Eyes.
What fills our eyes eventually fills our hearts. Continually reading and meditating on Scripture builds faith and strengthens hope.
Text: Psalm 1:2–3.

3. Hide God's Word in Your Heart.
The heart is the centre of faith. When God's promises dwell in the heart, they produce confidence, peace, and obedience.
Text: Psalm 119:11.

4. God's Word Brings Life and Health.
The Hebrew word translated "health" also means "medicine." God's Word is spiritual medicine that brings life, strength, and restoration according to His will.
Text: Psalm 107:20.

Practical Applications:
•Read the Bible daily.
•Speak God's promises over your life.
•Reject words of fear and unbelief.
•Trust God's timing and sovereign will in every circumstance.

Conclusion.
The greatest healing begins with the healing of the soul through Jesus Christ. As we continue in God's Word, He gives life, peace, strength, and hope.

Invitation Bring every burden to Christ today. His Word still gives life to those who receive it by faith.

Closing Prayer "Lord, help us to attend to Your Word above every other voice. Let Your truth dwell richly in our hearts. Bring life, strength, and healing according to Your perfect will. In Jesus' name. Amen."
