THE TOTAL SEARCHING
Text: Gospel of Luke 15:8–10
"Or what woman who has ten pieces of silver and loses one piece, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbours together, and says, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece that I lost’.
“I tell you, in the same way there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents”.
Luke 15:8-10
Introduction
The shepherd represents Christ, the woman in this lesson represents the diligent work of the Spirit and the Church.
The Lost Coin
The coin did not wander; it was misplaced. The coin is static and cannot talk unless it is searched.
Some people are lost not by rebellion but by neglect. Neglect of the warning of the Gospel of Christ will result in loosing the Salvation offered by Jesus Christ. Many people truly hear the Goodnews but decided to ignore it and thereby loose their salvation.
The Diligent Search
*She lights a lamp. That is the first step when searching for something. You cannot remain in the dark and see what is hidden.
*She sweeps the house. In the process of sweeping, all hidden thing will be revealed. And she found what was lost. Going to different towns, villages evangelising to soul by the church so that lost souls can be won back to Christ.
*She searches carefully.
Light represents the Word of God which searches innermost part of the soul-It is like a two edged sword, piercing through the bone and marrow.
(Psalm 119:105)
The Joy of Discovery
“Rejoice with me!”
Evangelism produces heavenly celebration. There is joy in heaven for every repentant sinner.
During a traditional wedding in a town, a bride’s headpiece or jewelry is precious. If misplaced, the entire household searches thoroughly. Likewise, God values every soul.
Conclusion
You are not insignificant to God. Even if others overlook you, Heaven does not.

Do you feel spiritually buried?
Have circumstances covered your fire?
Today, God’s light is shining into your situation.
The Father is not waiting with a cane — He is waiting with open arms.
Today: Return, Repent and Heaven will rejoice because of you. Heaven is ready to celebrate you.
