OUR COMFORTER - Holy Spirit

THE PROMISE OF THE COMFORTER”
Text: John 14:15–18
“I will not leave you comfortless…”
God will never disappoint His children. He cares for you as individual and He will keep to His promises by sending His Spirit to assist individual believers in time of travails and challenges.

*Love produces Obedience.
"If you love me, keep my commandments."
-John 14:15. If you love someone, you will not want anything to be a partition wall between both of you. The Lord's commandment a manual for our lives.

*The Holy Spirit — Jesus Christ promised another Comforter, Helper, Advocate, Strengthener when He was about ascending to on high, for He knew our shortcomings -(Acts 1:8).

*Not Orphans -an orphan is the one who has no father nor mother. But God is our Father. He has adopted us as sons and daughter. He had made the promise of the Comforter. He will never fail in His promise.
"For you did not receive again the spirit of bondage to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we call out, “Abba, Father”.
-Romans 8:15

✓An orphan fears abandonment. But adoption changes identity.
The Holy Spirit is the seal of our belonging to the family of God.

∆You are never alone —be rest assured that God is with you and He is ready to fulfill what He has promised. Heaven lives inside you.
Are you in disarray?
Have you lost everything?
Come to Him today, obey His commandment and He will send to you the Comforter.
God bless you.

SHOW US THE FATHER

SHOW US THE FATHER”
"If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. And from now on you know him, and have seen him”.
Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it will be sufficient for us”.
Jesus said to him, “Have I been such a long time with you, and you have not yet known me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. Then how can you say, ‘Show us the Father?’ Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own, but the Father who lives in me is doing these things. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me; or else believe me because of the deeds themselves."
-Text: John 14:7-11

*Philip wanted a visible revelation. Likewise we today. Most people wanted a visible God they can touch and that's why the Son of God is made manifest.
To know Jesus is to know the Father
(Colossians 1:15)

*Jesus is the express Image of God.
"The Son is the brightness of God’s glory, and the exact image of his nature, and upholds all things by the word of his power. When he had by himself purged our sins he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
-Hebrews 1:3.

A son resembles his father so clearly that when people see him, they say, “That’s his father’s image.

Jesus is not merely like God — He is God revealed.
When you look at Jesus, you see the heart of God.

Have you seen God in Jesus?
Are you still doubting by asking "show us the father"? Jesus is in the Father and the Father is in the Son. And if you know Him He shall be sufficient for you and we are co-heir with the Son.
God bless you!

THE ONLY WAY

“THE ONLY WAY”
Text: John 14:4–6
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
The way is the only direction that guides any to traveller to his destination. If one is not following the normal way, the person will not reach his or her desired destination on time or at all.

The Way – Direction for the Lost -(Acts 4:12). When someone is traveling to an unknown destination, he need someone to guide him or needs a map even at this age, one needs a Google map for guidance or else he misses his way. But in this lesson, we are looking at the sure way to eternity in Heaven.

The Truth – Light for the Confused -(John 8:32). A man that is blind needed someone with sight to guide him to his destination. If a blind is guiding the blind, there is tendency that they will both fall into a ditch. Light is needed in darkness. Same applies for a confused man, he needed truth to guide him in the path of righteousness back to his creator. That's why you needed the light-Jesus Christ. He is the light of the world.

The Life – Power for the Dead. -(Ephesians 2:1–5). Man is dead in sin and needed a life-giving spirit; -Jesus Christ to wake him up from the dead. You need Jesus, the first born of the dead. He died and ressurected on the third day and live forever. He is the One that can give you life and life eternally.

In a thick forest with many paths, only one path leads home. A guide who knows the way, becomes the difference between life and death.

Christianity is not a road map — it is a relationship with the Way. What is your relationship with Jesus?
Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.... Are you following the Way? Do you know the Truth? Do you have the Life? These three cardinal truths is something you can't do without. The time is now. Not tomorrow and it shall be well with you.
God bless you.

A PLACE PREPARED FOR YOU

“A PLACE PREPARED FOR YOU”
Text: John 14:2–3
Sometimes you may be told that Heaven is real and hell fire is real and you may not understand but this verse gave assurance that Heaven is Real.
“In my Father’s house are many mansions.”
Not myth, not metaphor —it is a promise. And it is better you take hold of the promises of God.
(Revelation 21:1–4,
2 Corinthians 5:1,
2).

Jesus personally prepares it.
He did not delegate it to someone else.
And preparation required the cross (Hebrews 9:24). You have to be prepared to enter therein. Because it a confirmed and blessed assurance.

He Will Return
“I will come again.”
The blessed hope (Titus 2:13).

*When a groom prepares a home for his bride, he carefully arranges everything because love motivates preparation.
Jesus prepares heaven with nail-pierced hands.

Brethren, are you longing to enter the prepared home for the prepared people? Remember, if He prepared it, it will be worth the wait. God bless you.

Declaration of Isaiah 60

Isaiah 60
1“Arise and shine, for your light has come, and the splendour of Yahweh has risen upon you.
2For darkness covers the earth, thick darkness is over the peoples, but Yahweh shines on you and his splendour appears over you.
3Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
4Look around you and see; they all gather together and come to you; your sons come from far away, and your daughters are carried on their hips.
5Then you will look and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and swell with pride, for the wealth of the seas will be showered upon you, and the riches of nations will come to you.
6There will be camels everywhere, young ones from Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba will come, carrying gold and frankincense, and proclaiming Yahweh’s praises.
7All Kedar’s flocks will be gathered to you, rams of Nebaioth will be yours, to be an acceptable offering on my altar; and I will beautify my glorious temple.
8Who are these who fly like clouds, like doves returning to their dovecote?
9For the coastlands will look to me; ships of Tarshish will take the lead to bring your children from far away, with their gold and silver, to the renown of Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, who is your splendour.
10Foreigners will rebuild your city walls, and their kings will serve you. For I struck you in my anger, but in the time of my favour, I have had compassion on you.
11Your gates will always be open, day or night; they will never be shut, so that the wealth of the nations may be brought to you, with their kings being led in procession.
12For any nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; such nations will be completely laid waste.
13The splendour of Lebanon will be brought to you, pines, firs, and cypresses together, to beautify my sanctuary, for I will bring splendour to the place where I set my feet.
14The children of your oppressors will come and bow down before you; all who despised you will bow down low at your feet; they will call you City of Yahweh, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15You will no longer be abandoned and hated, with no one travelling through; I will make you a permanent source of pride, and of rejoicing for future generations.
16You will drink the milk of nations, and you will suckle at royal breasts. Then you will know that I am Yahweh, your Saviour and Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

17
I will bring you gold in place of bronze, and silver in place of iron; bronze in place of wood, and iron in place of stone. I will make peace your governor and righteousness your overseer.

peace
The term ‘peace’ in the Bible has its roots in the Hebrew word šālôm ‘shalom’, signifying a deep state of calmness, health and harmony, and hence the ideal of Israelite existence.
The initial period, at least, of Solomon’s reign (Solomon means ‘peace’), when Israel was powerful and prosperous with no enemies facing her, serves as a type of the true lasting peace that Jesus brings, both to the individual believer in the turmoil of the world (John 14:27; Rom. 15:13; Col. 3:15; 1 Thess. 5:23; 2 Thess. 3:16), and to the new Israel at the end of history (Mic. 4:1‑4; Rev. 21:1‑4). Such holistic peaceful behaviour is a fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22).

righteousness
Righteousness is living in a right relationship with God. Moses warned the Israelites not to mistake God’s choosing them as a sign of their own righteousness (Deut. 9:4‑6): the sacrificial system and the Mosaic Law was designed to highlight their failure to live according to God’s standards.
Jesus’ death provided a new righteousness (Rom. 3:21‑26), such that an unrighteous person who trusts God is credited with the status of righteousness (Gen. 15:6, and see Rom. 4:3,22; Gal. 3:6). Thus Jesus’ atoning death (Rom. 4:3‑22) paves the way for the Holy Spirit to then work righteous behaviour in the believer’s life (Rom. 8:1‑11; Eph. 5:9).

18

Violence will no longer be heard in your land, nor destruction and devastation within your borders; you will call your city walls ‘Salvation’ and your gates ‘Praise’.
19The sun will no longer be your light by day, nor will the moon’s brightness shine on you, for Yahweh will be your light forever; your God will be your splendour.
20Your sun will never set again, or your moon wane, for Yahweh will be your light forever, and your time of sorrow will be over.
21All your people will be righteous, and they will possess the land forever — a shoot that I planted, and the work of my hands, in order to reveal my splendour.
22The least of you will become a thousand; the smallest a mighty nation. I am Yahweh; at the right time, I will make this happen quickly.”

MY DAILY REQUEST FROM GOD

'The Lord is my Banker; I shall not lack. He maketh me to lie down in gold mines; He giveth me the combination of His wills. He restoreth my credit; He showeth me how to avoid law suits for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk in the very shadow of debt, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me; thy silver and thy gold, they rescue me. Thou preparest a way for me in the presence of the collectors; Thou fillest my barrels with oil; my measure runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will do business in the name of the Lord.'

THE CURE FOR A TROUBLED HEART

"THE CURE FOR A TROUBLED HEART”
Text: John 14:1
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”

The Reality of Troubled Hearts
The disciples were facing uncertainty. The Master had been with them for about 3 and half year was now telling them about His departure. When thinking of the benefits and honour of following the miracle worker, one will be disturbed (John 13:33, 36–38).
When Prophet Elijah was about to be take away from the face of his servant, Elisha, the sons of the prophets told Elisha that his master was about to be taken away, Elisha refused to go back despite the threat of jordan, the sons of the prophet and the uncertainty of the outcome of following Elijah. And the outcome was that he received the mantle for double portions of the miracles done by Elijah. Faith was at work.
Our Lord Jesus announced betrayal and departure.

Trouble often follows transition.
(Psalm 34:19,
Isaiah 41:10,
2 Corinthians 4:8–9)

A child panics during a storm at night. Thunder roars. Lightning flashes. But the fear disappears when the father enters the room and says, “I’m here.”
The storm may not stop — but presence calms panic.

The Master says ...do not let your heart be troubled... In which areas are you being  disturbed? He is right beside you and asking for your faith. Have faith in the Lord Jesus and He is ready to save and deliver you.

Remember, faith is not denial of trouble; it is confidence in God despite the trouble.
Shalom!
